The end is nigh

The end of school holidays that is.  Today we had the pack of stationery delivery so this afternoon we will be sticking labels on and covering books (if I can be bothered to walk to the shop in the heat and get contact).  I actually love stationery and I think I was just as excited as Miss A to rip open the package.

There’s just something really good about a crisp new notebook with nothing on the pages, blank pages staring up at you just waiting for the first word or drawing to begin.

Clean, shiny new pencils with super sharp ends, the wood all even around the nib and not all uneven like it gets when little hands start to sharpen them to death.

One of my favourite parts of my business is being able to buy cool stationery and write it off as a business expense – Smiggle and Kikki K are my friends!

Fighting the urge to whip open a website and shop online but you know I do only have two back-up notebooks and I could always use a new pen…
