warm fuzzy
June 15, 2009Twice in the last week I’ve spoken to Dad and he sounds SO GOOD! The palliative care doctor has put him on steroids and his appetite has improved enormously as well as the colour coming back to his face and he’s generally feeling stronger. Getting over a round of radiation has also helped him feel better too.
I just can’t believe how much stronger he sounds, so much like his old self. I know that it won’t last forever but I’m just so pleased to hear him sounding well and happy.
Miss A and I are heading up to spend a week with Mum and Dad during the school hols. I’m looking forward to it so much! I want to spend as much quality time with them as I can, the fragility of life really hits you over the head when someone is terminally ill. Make ever day count and don’t sweat the small stuff… really, it’s true.
Stay strong Daddy, I love you.
