Ever seen a chameleon change colors?

October 3, 2009

I totally love this video! Not sure if it will embed via email but I’ll give it a go…

Nope didn’t work via email… will try again.

Okay, I have to purchase credits to upload videos… sorry but I can’t do that right now.  Maybe another time!  Maybe it’s on Youtube… off to check.

Of course it is… here you go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMT1FLzEn9I

post by email

September 17, 2009

Well I thought that I could only post to this blog by logging in but it seems that I can post via email – yay! That might actually allow me to post a little more often. Sometimes I have thoughts but can’t be bothered logging in – lame I know. I have a couple of self-hosted blog sites and I know I can set up email posting for them.

Anyway this is just a test to see if it works okay. Oh I suppose the downside is that I can’t add tags or allocate categories… hmm, that might not be so great then.

Respect the elderly for goodness sake!

August 11, 2009

I had to go to the local shopping centre this morning to post some documents to a client.  I saw two things that made me want to slap people.

Firstly an elderly man was crossing the road going to the library. A young man was in his car, music blaring and was revving the engine – obviously impatient. He could barely wait until the poor man had reach the middle of the road and he went screeching off around him.  OMG, waiting for someone to cross a single lane road does not take too much time out of your life!  The man had a walking stick and could obviously not go any faster you moron!

Secondly a young woman in such a rush that she almost bowled over an elderly couple in the shopping centre.  No apology for bumping into them as she pushed past, just commented to her friend “I wish people would just keep over to the side if they aren’t going to hurry up”.  Hmm, it’s a shopping centre where people like to wander and browse, perhaps you could practice a little tolerance!

Now I might just have my cranky pants on but what is wrong with people? Can they have no respect for people who are obviously elderly and frail and who cannot possibly walk as fast as some of us can?

People such as these two charmers should take a moment to remember that they two will be old one day.  Oooooh, there’s so much more ranting I could do but I have to get some client work done. That’s just been bugging me ever since I came home and I needed to vent it out!
